Do I have to own my own horse?

No, you do not have to own a horse to take lessons or show. We offer a special string of school horses and ponies.

What is the student to instructor ratio?

Classes range from 1:1 to 5:1.

Do I need my own equipment?

All students need their own approved ASTM-SEI riding helmet. Also, students must wear boots and breeches. Beginner students can borrow a helmet for four lessons.

When are lessons available? What will they cost?

Lessons are taught year-round Monday through Friday. Group lessons average $50 and private lessons average $65 per lesson.

What if it rains on my lesson day?

Lessons are rain or shine. Rain days are also used to teach important horsemanship information such as tacking, basic first aid and clipping.

Do I have to compete at shows if I take lessons?

No, you do not have to compete at shows. We offer many other activities. We host “Fun Days” and in-house clinics.

What if I do want to compete at a show and I do not own a horse?

All our lesson horses and ponies are available for any of our students to take to the shows.
